Description

WINEMAKING Odd Lot is an unconventional blend of Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot. Although the label is colorful, the wine is anything but comic. Our winemaking approach is dead seriousness combined with curiosity and the latitude to explore, guided by the purpose of making something delicious. And while we’re proud of the awards, medals and points our Odd Lot has earned, we really get happy just being together, blending the odd lots, and arriving at something that is uncommon, bold and approachable. TASTING NOTES Decadent aromas of blackberry, ripe plum, juicy fig, sweet vanilla and smoky oak. The palate is full-bodied, with soft tannins and a lingering finish of black fruit. Odd Lot Petite & Petit is perfect for any occasion. Enjoy with beef short ribs, lamb chops, grilled eggplant, or aged manchego cheese. VINEYARD The southern portion of Monterey County is defined by morning fog, strong winds, broad temperature swings and intense sunshine. In Hames Valley, this triad promotes the cultivation of Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot to delicious results. The long, warm days allow full-bodied, dark fruit flavors to develop while the dramatic nighttime cooling preserves the balance and structure of this big, bold wine.
