Description
OVERVIEW Aristotle aims to create wines that elevate the senses and open the mind. While we can’t promise that drinking Aristotle will actually make you wiser we can promise that the wine offers complex flavors, intense varietal character and beautiful balance. MONTEREY The Monterey region is defined by morning fog, strong winds, broad temperature swings and intense sunshine. The warmer inland temperatures are moderated by the powerful influence of the nearby Pacific Ocean, which averages 50° throughout the year. Each and every day, the temperatures of Monterey rise and fall precipitously, conveyed by fog, strong winds and bright sunlight. In Hames Valley, this triad of elements elevates the cultivation of Petite Sirah to superb, distinctive results. The long, warm days allow full-bodied, dark fruit flavors to develop while the dramatic nighime cooling preserves the balance and structure of this supple wine. TASTING Deep, intriguing and intense, our 2014 Petite Sirah is both sophisticated and approachably delicious. Aromas of blackberries, vanilla and mocha lead to flavors of d’Agen plums, black currants and tobacco. Full-bodied, well-integrated tannins finish with a finesse of rich black fruit.
