Star Lane Cabernet Sauvignon, Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara 2019

"classic" vintages in California and particularly in Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara, means that nothing caused us to rush and we could employ the patience that this vineyard deserves. A cool Spring, delayed budbreak, which resulted in an even flowering after the usual Spring winds. At Star Lane Vineyard, we're typically cooler than most Happy Canyon estates due to our elevation and aspect, so the cooler vintage meant a nice ripening which produced depth of color and flavor and allowed us to bump up the core Cabernet Sauvignon within the blend to 81%.
