Description
Regenerative: Dry farm, no spray. Ross Cannard elected to move towards tillage to conserve moisture in the face of historic drought.
This was a difficult vintage. The vines struggled mightily with the lack of water, and yields were down significantly. This vineyard in particular had very short shoots. The grapes we did receive were quite concentrated in flavor, however, and the resulting wine is delicious, if a bit intense in comparison to other years. The fermentations struggled more than in years past but got there in the end. It was aged in neutral french oak puncheons for 8 months.
