Magnolia Red Blend, Los Carneros, Sonoma County 2019

Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were grown without sulfur applications in the cool climate AVA of Sonoma County on the Los Carneros side. They were harvested about a month apart and fermented separately with gentle punch-down during primary fermentation. This blend is an excellent example of the potential of Bordeaux varieties grown in a cool climate in California. The wine has a pure aroma and flavor of the varieties with refined acidity and low alcohol content. The wine exhibits aromas of red fruit characteristics and bell peppers, with a fine tannin texture.
